Computer Lab & Library

computer libraryTo better serve your educational and technological needs, we offer a state-of-the-art electronic resource library located on the first floor of campus. Here, you can gain access to computers, printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines, all with the swipe of your Mav ID card. Each library computer is equipped with online subscription databases, electronic resources and Geographic Information Systems software, so you can complete all your course research easily, quickly and right on campus. The Library is open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

As a Maverick, you’ll automatically have access to MyMav, the student information portal of the UTA system. Use MyMav to find and register for classes, handle tuition payments, check grades and more. MyMav is the ideal tool for managing and keeping your college career on track.MyMav_new

All students at the UTA Fort Worth Center receive a 5GB MavMail email box. Available throughout your tenure at UTA and continuing into your life as an alumnus, you can use your MavMail to manage and organize class materials and communicate with students and professors. As a UTA Fort Worth Center student, you will receive a NetID and password. These will allow you to access the UTA network and other online resources. You can manage your NetID at

We know how important computers are to your success as a student. That’s why we offer a complimentary help desk for all your computing and technology needs. Available by phone, email and chat, you can access the help desk from anywhere, anytime at The help desk is also available in-person at the main campus in Arlington.




Distance Education

If you are taking an online course, or your instructor supplements the classroom instruction with content, the following resources and inks will help you locate the necessary tools.

All of these online resources, except Telecampus, require NetID to login. Make sure to check your syllabus and/or contact your instructor to make sure you access the correct resource.


File Storage

Files on Network Drives are accessible from on and off campus and are backed up every night. You have 500Mb of storage on MavSpace 160 Mg on your J: drive and 100 Mb Web Publishing folder.

When using computer in the OIT labs, you must save your files on the network drives; files saved on the hard drives are automatically deleted. For more information see File Storage and Sharing.

The service on Windows Live includes Sky Drive, 5 GB of network storage with private, shared, and public folders that you can control and manage yourself.

Software Discounts

The Computer Store distributes selected Microsoft software at substantial savings, due to special licensing agreements with Microsoft. You can find other academically prices software, storage media, and peripheral items at the store.


DreamSpark Downloads (Students Only)
